To get the application form for the AAU School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Ambrose Alli University or any other recognized university.
Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
2. Masters Degree
Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
AAU graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Ambrose Alli University or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from a recognized institution and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Ambrose Alli University in relevant areas.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees
Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Ambrose Alli University or other recognized institutions.
A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Ambrose Alli University.
Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
How to Apply for AAU Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025
The application form is on the Ambrose Alli University portal (https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants) for N28,200.00 (Twenty-Eight Thousand, Two Hundred Naira). Please complete and submit the online application form for the School of Postgraduate Studies as the handbook explains.
Make sure you have a valid email account before starting the application process. While filling out the form, you must provide three referees’ contact details. After you pay and submit the form, your referees will get an automated request for a reference. Be sure to get their permission before you apply.
Click on ‘Register for application’ at the top left of the page to proceed.
Provide all necessary information. Note that * means compulsory fields.
An immediate mail will be sent to the provided email address (use your email not the cybercafé’s mail).
Open your mail to get your system-generated ID and password that you will use to log in.
Go to https://aaue.waeup.org and click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page).
Enter your username and password from the mail to login.
To start the application process, please click on ‘Edit application record’ provide all required information, and upload your passport photograph.
PaymentInstructions
Go to https://aaue.waeup.org/login.
Enter your username and the password as sent to your email to log in.
To make payment, click ‘Edit application record’.
At the bottom of the page click on ‘Add online payment ticket’.
Click on the Payment ID associated with the created ticket.
(ii) Click on ‘College PAY’ at the top of your page. A confirmation page will appear to allow you to verify your payment details. If everything is correct, click ‘Submit’ to proceed with the payment via the Interswitch payment gateway.
Select your card type from the drop-down menu (Verve, Visa, or MasterCard), and enter your card details.
Enter your card number, expiry date, CVV2, and PIN, then click “Pay.”
Note: Your CVV2 is the 3-digit number located on the back of your card.
If your payment is successfully validated, you can proceed to submit your completed application form and print your application slip.
