OOU Postgraduate Admission Requirement
To get the application form for the OOU School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
- Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other recognized university.
- Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
- Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
2. Masters Degree
- Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
- OOU graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
- Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
- Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Olabisi Onabanjo University or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
- Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from a recognized institution and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Olabisi Onabanjo University in relevant areas.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees
- Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Olabisi Onabanjo University or other recognized institutions.
- A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
- Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Olabisi Onabanjo University.
- Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
- Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.

How to Apply for OOU Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025:
- Visit https://pgs.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng/portal/application/apply.php
- Complete the NEW APPLICATION section with your intended program. Ensure you provide a valid telephone number and email address, as these will be used to track your application.
- After entering the details, a one-time authentication code will be sent to the provided email address instantly.
- Enter the authentication code in the box provided to validate your information on the application platform and submit it.
- After completing Step 4, log in through the UPDATE APPLICATION section using your telephone number as the username and your email address as the password (ensure the Telephone option is selected).
- To make your payment, click on MAKE PAYMENT. Choose the WEB Payment option for online transactions.
(Note: Upon successful online payment, a Form Number will be generated and subsequently sent to your email address. Your initial password is your last name.)
- Upon successful payment, please fill out the Biodata Form correctly (Click on “Fill Biodata Form” to proceed).
Note: Make sure to check the box on the Biodata confirmation page before submitting, as failing to do so will keep the form open.
- To verify your “O” Level result, click on “Verify O Level Result.” The fee is N5,000 per sitting. (Note: Make sure to enter the correct Examination Number and year of examination, as any mistake may result in payment for another verification.)
- Click the “Upload Credential” link to upload all your credentials. Please ensure that all uploaded credentials are clear and legible.
- Afterward, print the Application Acknowledgment Slip and bring it to the screening examination venue on the examination date.
Note: You can log in to your application portal after making a payment by using the UPDATE APPLICATION route. You have two options for logging in:
1. If you choose the Telephone option, use your telephone number as the username and your email address as the password.
2. If you prefer the Form Number option, use your Form Number as the username and your surname as the password.
