To obtain the application form for the IBBU School of Postgraduate Studies, you must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University or any other recognized university.
Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
2. Masters Degree
Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
IBBU graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from a recognized institution and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University in relevant areas.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees
Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University or other recognized institutions.
A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University.
Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
Full-Time Diploma: A minimum of three semesters and a maximum of six semesters are required to complete the program.
Part-Time Diploma: The program lasts a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.

MPhil/Ph.D Programmes
Full-Time: Students must complete a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters.
Part-Time: A student may enroll for a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.
Ph.D Programme
Full-Time: Four semesters are required, with a maximum limit of ten.
Part-Time: A minimum of six semesters and a maximum of fourteen semesters is allowed.
