FUWUKARI Postgraduate Admission Requirement
To obtain the application form for the FUWUKARI School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet specific requirements. Here they are:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
- Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Federal University Wukari or any other recognized university.
- Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
- Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
2. Masters Degree
- Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
- FUWUKARI graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
- Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
- Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Federal University Wukari or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
- Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Federal University Wukari in relevant areas.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees
- Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Ahmadu Bello University or other recognized institutions.
- A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
- Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Federal University Wukari.
- Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
- Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
Federal University Wukari Postgraduate Form 2024/2025
The application fee for all the aforementioned programs is N15,000 for applicants within Nigeria or $100.00 for international applicants.
How to Apply for FUWUKARI Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025:
- Log-on to https://pg.fuwportal.edu.ng
- When you choose “Online Application,” a form will appear online for you to fill out.
- Please enter your data, including a valid email address to receive your login details. Choose “Post Graduate Full-time” as the mode of admission. Also, select your first and second choice of program of study from the available options and then submit.
- Login to the provided email address and search for the email titled “FEDERAL UNIVERSITY WUKARI APPLICATION LOGIN DETAILS.” Open the email to view the login username and password needed to proceed with the application process.
- Login into the application portal to make payment for the Online Application using the above login details from the link https://pg.fuwportal.edu.ng on the homepage.
- To navigate back to the APPLICATION DASHBOARD from any application environment, click on the “Application” tab in the left pane window.
- After successfully logging in, click on the “Payment” icon to view the session and the amount to be paid for the online admission application form. Then, select “proceed,” and the system will redirect you to the REMITA payment gateway, displaying the required payment amount and the payer details. Make sure the payer details are correct before confirming the payment. If the details are not correct, close the page, discontinue the payment process, log out, and start again.
- Once the payer details are confirmed (correct names and email address), click on “Proceed with payment” and choose the payment method (credit card, bank transfer, USSD, etc.)
- After completing the payment process, you will be redirected back to the portal where you will need to “complete your bio-data.” Click on “Update Biodata,” provide the necessary information, and upload a valid passport photograph. Please note that any information marked with an asterisk (*) in red is compulsory.
- After filling out all the required information on the bio-data page, click on the “Next” button located at the bottom right-hand side of the page to continue. Start by entering your HIGHEST educational qualification, and if you have more than one, click on “Add more Institution” for additional qualifications. Once done, click on “Next” to proceed.
- Please ensure that all post-primary education records are provided and inputted correctly on the next page. Also, update your subjects and grades. If you have taken exams on more than one occasion, select “add another sitting” to update the records. Once done, click on “save”.
- The system will alert you to confirm all the provided details before submitting. If you need to review anything, use the “Edit” button for each section. Click on “Submit” once all the details are confirmed. A pop-up message will warn you that once you submit, you will no longer be able to edit.
- After submitting your application, a new tab labeled “Assign Referee” will appear. Click on “Assign Referee” to enter the details of the referees for the application in the provided sections. Please inform the referee(s) in advance to obtain their consent and valid email addresses, and let them know to expect the referee form for completion. Click “submit” once you have finished assigning the referees.
- Once the referee assignment is completed, another tab labeled “Upload Document” will appear. Click on “Upload Documents” to browse and select the required documents, which should be scanned and saved in either .pdf or .jpeg format and should not exceed the specified upload size. After selecting the documents, click on “submit.” After submission, you can also edit, download, and view the uploaded files.
- To return to the Online Application Dashboard, click on “Application” in the left panel. Once there, you’ll see a new tab titled “Generate Transcript Request Form.” This tab allows you to create the form needed to request a transcript from your previous institution or school. Click on “Transcript Request Form” and fill in all the necessary details. After completing the form, click on “SUBMIT” or “RESET.” To obtain a printable version of the Transcript Request Form, click on “Generate PDF.” You can then submit the printed form to your last institution of graduation for them to send your transcript.
- The last tab to load is the “Application Status.” This tab summarizes all the inputted information, uploaded documents, and the status of the referee’s response. The final application status is also reflected here, whether admission is given or not. To sign out of the application environment, click on “Logout” in the left-hand panel.
