ADSUPostgraduate Admission Requirement

To get the application form for the ADSU School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

  • Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
  • Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Adamawa State University or any other recognized university.
  • Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.

2. Masters Degree

  • Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
  • Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Adamawa State University or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
  • Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Adamawa State University in relevant areas.

3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees

  • Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Adamawa State University or other recognized institutions.
  • A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.

4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree

  • Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Adamawa State University.
