Adeleke University Postgraduate Admission Requirement
To get the application form for the Adeleke University School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
To meet matriculation requirements, candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Adeleke University or any other recognized university.
Individuals with a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
2. Masters Degree
Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
Adeleke University graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Adeleke University or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from a recognized institution and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Adeleke University in relevant areas.
3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees
Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Adeleke University or other recognized institutions.
A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree
Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Adeleke University.
Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
All postgraduate applications are administered by the College of Postgraduate Studies.
Names indicated on the application form MUST be those that appear on the applicant’s previous
academic records. The name stated on the application form would be used throughout the
program and would appear on the certificate upon graduation. However, where there is a
change, attach evidence such as:
(a) Court affidavit,
(b) Newspaper publication and;
(c) Marriage certificate (where applicable).
Cases of impersonation, falsification of documents, or providing false/incomplete information
whenever discovered either at registration or afterward, will lead to automatic cancellation of
admission.
Applicants should ensure the correctness and functional email address of their three (3)
referees. At least one of them must be an academic referee. Character references from
friends/family are not acceptable.
ONLY original academic transcript DULY addressed to The Secretary, College of
Postgraduate Studies, Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State is acceptable.
Applications received without complete supporting documents and payment details will
not be processed.
