CRUTECH Postgraduate Admission Requirement

To get the application form for the CRUTECH School of Postgraduate Studies, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
• Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from Cross River State University of Technology or any other recognized university.
• Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
• Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.

2. Masters Degree

• Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
• CRUTECH graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
• Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
• Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from Cross River State University of Technology or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
• Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
• Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from a recognized institution and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from Cross River State University of Technology in relevant areas.

3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees

• Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Cross River State University of Technology or other recognized institutions.
• A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.

4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree

• Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from Cross River State University of Technology.
• Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
• Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.

Duration of CRUTECH Postgraduate Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

• Full-Time Diploma: To complete the program, you must complete a minimum of three and a maximum of six semesters.
• Part-Time Diploma: The program lasts a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.

Masters Degree Programmes

• Full-Time: Students must complete a minimum of three semesters and may take a maximum of ten semesters to finish their program.
• Part-Time: Students must complete a minimum of four semesters and can take a maximum of eight semesters to finish their program.

MPhil/Ph.D Programmes

• Full-Time: Students must complete a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters.
• Part-Time: A student may enroll for a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.

Ph.D Programme

• Full-Time: A minimum of four semesters is required, with a maximum limit of ten semesters.
• Part-Time: A minimum of six semesters and a maximum of fourteen semesters is allowed.

How to Apply for CRUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Prospective applicants should log in to www.crutech.edu.ng and browse the available courses, options, and requirements before making any payments.
Interested candidates are required to obtain the application forms using the following guidelines:

• Transfer the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) only to Zenith Bank PLC, located at 34 Chamley Street, Calabar. Please note that UNICROSS will not be liable for any payments made to accounts other than the designated bank.
• Prospective candidates should visit The Postgraduate School at UNICROSS to exchange their bank tellers, which confirm the payment of the non-refundable application fees, for official UNICROSS receipts. These receipts will enable them to collect the Application Forms and Transcript Request Forms.
• Applicants should send the Transcript Request Forms to their former institutions or universities and ensure that the Application Forms are completed properly to meet submission requirements.
• Applicants must ensure that each Application Form includes the following documents.
1. Proof of payment for the non-refundable application fee of N20,000.00 for purchasing the application form at the bank (include a clear photocopy of the UNICROSS receipt).
2. Three completed Referee Report Forms are required, with at least one from the candidate’s former institution and/or current employer. Applications will not be considered without these three completed reports from referees.
3. Photocopies of the qualifying certificates, including O-level certificates, must be submitted. Original certificates must be presented for verification during admission. Awaiting results are not acceptable.
4. Transcripts from your previous institution or university are required. Applications will not be considered without a candidate’s transcript.
5. Your National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter;
6. Evidence of Release (EOR) from your employer for candidates who are workers applying for full-time studies.
7. Permission for employees to pursue part-time studies approved by the employer.
