FUAM Postgraduate Admission Requirement

To obtain the application form for the FUAM School of Postgraduate Studies, you must fulfill specific requirements.

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Candidates must pass English and Mathematics at the O’ level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to meet matriculation requirements.
• Graduates who have obtained at least a third-class honors degree from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi or any other recognized university.
• Individuals who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit grade from recognized institutions are eligible.
• Holders of any other qualifications, along with relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.

2. Masters Degree

• Candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level (e.g. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
• FUAM graduates with approved 1st degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower).
• Degree with 3.00+ CGPA or 2.40-2.99 CGPA + 3 years post-graduation.
• Candidates who have obtained a Third Class honors degree and have at least five years of post-graduation experience are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Diploma from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi or any recognized institution with at least a pass at the credit level.
• Candidates whose degrees are unclassified, but have an average grade of C or above, are eligible to apply.
• Candidates need a Higher National Diploma (minimum credit) from recognized institutions and a Postgraduate Diploma (minimum pass at credit level) from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi in relevant areas.

3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Degrees

• Graduates who have obtained an approved first degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi or other recognized institutions.
• A Second Class Honours Degree with a substantial amount of pertinent industrial experience is required.

4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree

• Graduates who have obtained a Master’s Degree relevant to the proposed areas of study from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi.
• Graduates from other recognized universities who hold a master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
• Candidates for the Ph.D. programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.

Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi Postgraduate Form 2024/2025

To apply for the FUAM postgraduate program for the 2024/2025 session, candidates must meet the entry requirements and obtain the non-refundable admission form, which costs N20,500. Instructions for registration are provided below.

How to Apply for FUAM Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025:

Applications are now online. Interested candidates should visit the University’s website at www.fuam.edu.ng for detailed information on the application procedure and the general/specific requirements for all programs. A non-refundable application processing fee of twenty thousand, five hundred Naira (N20,500.00) must be paid via any commercial bank nationwide using Remita or a debit card (Master or Verve).

Candidates are required to print and submit two (2) copies of the completed application forms to the Secretary of the Postgraduate School. Ensure that relevant credentials are attached, and submissions can be made through hand delivery or courier services.

Additionally, candidates must arrange for their academic transcripts to be sent to the Secretary of the Postgraduate School.
